  • Seth Kaye is a multiple award winning documentary photographer whom the Valley Advocate has called “one of the best wedding photojournalists in New England”. His years of experience as a photojournalist, combined with an academic background in the fine arts, make him uniquely qualified to document weddings in an unobtrusive, respectful fashion.

Seth’s narrative photographic style reflects a philosophy in which the photographer observes rather than directs, where real moments are free from manipulation and interference. His work belongs to a tradition of photography which relies on seeing and understanding the significance of the moment, and capturing it.

NCCJ Awards

The NCCJ, the National Conference for Community and Justice, invited me back to photograph their second award ceremony of the year, this one held at Chez Josef in Agawam. Quite a few people were in attendance to have dinner and wish the award recipients congratulations. Here are some images from the evening…

Red roses were given to award recipients to wear.

Some helpful NCCJ staff and volunteers.

After a while an announcement was made for people to move from the Honoree Reception into the banquet hall for dinner and the awards.
Some nice piano music was performed during the cocktail hour and while people made their way toward dinner.
The honorees, all in a row.

Greenfield High School student Marilyn Lorenzo received the NCCJ Youth Award.
Lester and Carolyn Fontaine received a standing ovation after accepting their award.
Rabbi Mark Dov Shapiro of Sinai Temple in Springfield accepts his award.
The final award of the evening went to Dr. Alonzo Sheffield, M.D., a retired physician from Springfield.

The award recipients were kind enough to pose for a group photo at the conclusion of the ceremony.
